Ballon d'Or 2025: FFF president picks player who 'deserves' to win award



The president of the France Football Federation, FFF, Philippe Diallo, has said that Paris Saint-Germain's Ousmane DembÃ©lÃ© "deserves" to win the Ballon d'Or this year.


Dembele is one of the frontrunners having enjoyed an impressive season.
The 28-year-old has netted 25 goals since the start of 2025 and played a crucial role in PSG completing a clean sweep.
PSG finished the campaign with the Ligue 1, the UEFA Champions League, the Coupe de France, and the TrophÃ©e des Champions titles.
"He is perhaps the favourite," Diallo said in an interview with Le Figaro.
"Ousmane DembÃ©lÃ© has had an exceptional season.
"I am delighted that we (France) have two players (DembÃ©lÃ© and Kylian MbappÃ©) who should at least be on the podium, and that DembÃ©lÃ© deserves to win this trophy."
