The Lagos Task Force Team on Friday, December 1, seized a number of commercial motorcycles commonly known as Okadas in the Alakija area of the state.
Members of the taskforce stormed the area and dislodged the operations of the motorcyclists.
In protest, the motorcyclists set up bunfire on the road. They were however dislodged by the police who fired teargas canisters.
Last year, the state government banned the operations of motorcycles in 10 out of the 20 LGAs in the State, including Kosofe, Oshodi-Isolo, Somolu, Mushin, Apapa, Ikeja, Lagos Island, Lagos Mainland, Surulere and Eti-Osa.
