Nigerian police unveil ₦5.5m tricycle loan plan, officers to pay ₦90k monthly for 60 months

The Nigerian Police Force has introduced a tricycle loan scheme to support officers financially.

Under the initiative led by Inspector General Kayode Egbetokun, personnel can acquire tricycles through Bulk Stalker Engineering Limited.

A police wireless message dated March 12, 2025, from the Assistant Inspector General overseeing the Police Cooperative Society in Lagos, announced that the Nigeria Police Cooperative Multi-Purpose Society Ltd. had partnered with the company.

The scheme offers various tricycle models, including trucks, taxis, and ambulances, at N5.5 million each.

Officers will repay N90,000 monthly over 60 months, with deductions made via IPPIS.

Application forms will be available at all police cooperative shops.

Tricycles, known as "Keke" in Nigeria, are widely used for commercial transport. This initiative allows officers to own one, providing an additional source of income and improving financial stability.
